Hello & Welcome

On behalf of the Activity Board, I'd like to welcome you to the official Texas Lassos' Alumni Group blogsite. The intention of this space is to act as a hub for the Lassos' Alumni Group. Yes, we're also on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter but THIS is the official information and connection hub.

The Texas Lassos’ Alumni Group has been established to build on the organizational, professional and personal support of the Texas Lassos to promote the public good by raising funds to support other 501 (c)(3) charitable organizations. Through its networking among former Lassos, the organization will actively promote the Lassos' core value of community engagement through service, social, and, spirit events. By creating a network of women formerly associated with Texas Lassos at the University of Texas, we expect to build powerful experiences that reinforce the organizations' core values.

Within the pages above, we start with a little History and co-founder Susan's slogan, "We are not the oldest or the largest, we simply strive to be the best." Then, History continues with the story of the organization as written by co-founder Kim Gentile. Within the 'Get Involved' page, you will find local chapter contacts. You might also want to start a chapter in your city- a link to get going on that is also included on this page. On the 'Stay Connected' page you will find the proper contacts for, well, staying connected! This includes links to the appropriate Board member for things like updating your contact info on the master list and subscribing to the alumni listserv.

To the right, there are three links to call out. The first, Photos, includes those things discovered within 'Ester's box' (early photos and promotional materials) and also few recent group photos- worth a quick click, I promise. Additionally, to the right, you will see quick links to our Calendar and Contact information for the Board of Activity.

I cannot believe it has been 15 years since we first registered in the fall of 1998. Our success is proof of our dedication and our dedication comes through again here. Please take a minute and rekindle your lasso love by exploring this blogsite. We hope that this information hub will enable continued Lasso involvement and help us stay connected well beyond our college years.

LL,
